Senate Supports Renewable Energy
The energy bill the U.S. Senate overwhelmingly passed in June is weaker than it might have been, but it is a lot stronger than the bill the U.S. House passed in April.

Predatory Lending, Well Protections Fail To Pass
Despite tremendous media coverage and broad-based support, the 2005 New Mexico state Legislature failed to pass two of NMPIRG’s top legislative priorities: regulating domestic wells and stopping predatory lending.
